Finding out that you are expecting can be such a great joy. After the smiling from ear to ear wears off, the reality of creating a space for your new soon to be bundle of joy can be an overwhelming one. This new life will need a space of it’s own, and that means you must probably give up your space and create a new one.
You lost your extra guest bedroom to make way for your new baby. Now what? The walls are plain and the room is bare. Where to start?
Paint. Such an easy way to bring new life to an old room. We suggest using a neutral color to create a warm feeling and glow about the room. You will be amazed at how much a new coat of paint will do. Head over to your local home improvement store and pick up swatches, then tape them up on the wall and open the blinds and let the good light pour it. This will help you to really see the color and how the light changes it.
Furniture. Time to start shopping for a new crib and changing table, dresser, and chair. This can be a fun filled adventure if you take the right approach in the beginning. Set a budget, then start online by price comparison shopping by brands and stores. When you find just what you want hit the order button and have it delivered to your front door, or pick it up at your local store.
Accessories. Now the fun part begins. Accessories can really make the room feel complete. Start with a fun colored or patterned rug and build around it. Adding some wow to your walls without worry is easy too. How about a flowing branch with a fun bird, or some fluffy cloud art. No matter what you choose your new baby is sure to love it. Add some colorful pillows and accessories to your dresser top and your room is complete.
Your little one will whisk off to dream land in their fun new nursery that you created just for them!
